The external & internal bloack work has started, with everyone tiptoeing around the gable end. As part of our planning permission we have to keep the gable wall standing. We are going to build the rest and then tackle the under pinning and structural support. In the meantime we are a little undecided on the mortar colour. We will be mixing this on site and have done some test walls, using 2 different red sands, different cement and lime (4 samples) I don't know which is which or I'll choose the cheapest!
