Roof

Ready for the slates BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

Sealed!

Once the lid is placed onto the building, it suddenly after 3 days of a 6 ant workforce becomes a house! The roof is over 220 m2 and john Thomas 's roofing boys have laid the welsh slate proud. I am so glad we choose the smaller new county welsh slate(16x10 ). I stand back and feel it's a decision well spent, 100 years + , it was worth blowing the kitchen , bathroom...... Budget on! Will I feel this slate pride when I'm standing under a dripping shower or cooking on a camp stove, who knows ?

1/2 a roof no chimney for santa

We have weather proofed the building now, a good job really, after listening to a little bad advice the floor boards were left exposed for toooo long- fingers crossed they will dry out -
Now with the floor and roof on,  the rooms upstairs and down stairs have become bigger, a silly thing to say but the space has become real!!
Now with only 5 more sleeps left, all the little site elves are packing their trowels & sacks and winding down.
New year will hopefully bring a complete new roof, a rebuilt gable end and beautiful welsh slate.  #What colour ridge tile? Red or black/grey?
